| Diane didn't live or work anywhere near Victoria. When Frost comes in, Angela tells him she hasn't had any online traffic. He suggests setting up a blog. Jane joins him. They're missing something. The only link is the monthly bus pass, and Jane realizes that their killer could be a bus passenger. Angela eavesdrops and begins typing in her blog. She was sexting with "R," possibly Ron Montgomery, whose motto is about a family company. He says they were just having innocent fun and claims he didn't kill or have sex with her. When they say they have DNA, he changes the story and says they had consensual casual sex. He claims to have gone straight home. Korsak interrupts with another body.
In the morgue, Maura can't identify the murder weapon due to the damage. Victoria had sex in the last 36 hours. Frost brings Jane a suspect: Herbert, who hired hookers and made them pretend they were dolls. After they leave, Korsak brings in the dog for Maura to look over. When Frost and Frankie bring in Herbert, they find him yelling at a doll and have to take her in too.

Video footage shows Victoria boarding a bus, and the driver remembers her. He has an alibi for Diane's murder. Rondo shows up wearing an "Angela's Guardians" because she "put out the call" to protect the women in the city. Jane has to leave when Maura calls after finding a sliver of wood in Diane's brain. It has blood from not only both victims on it, but also a third blood type that is 20 years old. It could be a piece of the murder weapon made of white ash. Korsak says their old nightsticks were white ash. They could be looking for a cop. Cavanaugh suggests looking for a cop who went to prison but has been released.
After Jane takes her computer away, Angela tells Maura she has an idea to help her. Jane brings Frost Angela's computer to shut down the blog. Frost checks incident reports and comes up with a woman who disappeared from her store, Libby's Dollhouse and Tea Room. Her husband is Artie, and their son, Jonathan, has been in a mental hospital for eight years.
Rizzoli Isles season 3 continues with episode 4, "Welcome to the Dollhouse," beginning with a woman in a room filled with dolls. She tells the man she won't tell. A bus driver finds the "doll" victim.
